Epping Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives have charged aman following an alleged sexual assault at a Preston Shopping Centre earlier this month, Victoria Police say.
The incident, in which a 38-year-old reservoir woman alleges she was sexually assaulted occurred at a Plenty Road Shopping Centre occurred on Friday 7 October.
Investigators went public last week releasing images and CCTV and on 17 October a Heidelberg West man was arrested at a Reservoir address.
The 47-year-old man has been charged with two counts of sexual assault, stalking and assault related offences.
The man was bailed to appear at the Heidelberg Magistrates Court on the 23 January 2017.
