Man charged following service station robbery, NSW

A man has been charged following the robbery of a service station on the Central Coast yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 10.40pm (Sunday 25 February 2018), a man entered the service station on Avoca Drive, Green Point, allegedly armed with a knife.

Police will allege the man threatened two female employees before running from the store with an amount of cash and cigarettes.

Police were called and officers from Brisbane Water Police District attended the scene and commenced inquiries.

About 12.25pm today (Monday 26 February 2018), police attended a home on Broadwater Drive, Saratoga, where they arrested a 22-yerar-old man.

He was taken to Gosford Police Station where he was charged with armed robbery with an offensive weapon.

He was refused bail and will appear in Gosford Local Court tomorrow (Tuesday 27 February 2018).
