Man charged following storage unit break-ins in Fairfield

A man will face court today following investigations into several alleged break-ins at Fairfield this month, NSW Police say.

Police will allege on Thursday 13 July 2017, a man broke into several storage cages within a unit block on Polding Street, Fairfield Heights.

He allegedly took several items including wine bottles, tools and a bicycle and left in a vehicle.

Police from Fairfield Local Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into the incidents.

About 5.30pm today, officers arrested a 36-year-old man at The Crescent, Fairfield.

He was taken to Fairfield Police Station and charged with four counts of break, enter and steal and drive while disqualified.

The man was refused bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court tomorrow.
