Whittlesea Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a 27-year-old man after a car with a baby was allegedly stolen in Mill Park on 31 August, Victoria Police say.
A vehicle was parked on Bush Boulevard with an eight-week-old baby in a capsule in the back seat, when it was allegedly stolen about 10.20am.
The car was located a short time later on Plenty Road in Mill Park with the unharmed baby.
A Roxburgh Park man has been charged with theft of motor vehicle, theft from motor vehicle and drive whilst disqualified.
He was remanded in custody to appear at the Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court today.
