Man charged following two Ararat armed robberies

Armed Crime Squad detectives have charged a 31-year-old man following two armed robberies at the same licensed premises in Ararat over the past two months, Victoria Police say.

The Melton West man was charged with two counts of armed robbery.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

It’s alleged the incidents occurred at a High Street business on 21 October and 18 November.

A 33-year-old woman was also charged with possess drug of dependence and was bailed to appear at Sunshine Magistrates’ Court on 26 March 2019.
