Police have charged a 30-year-old man with possessing a large amount of methylamphetamine at Charleville on the weekend.
Shortly before 6.30pm on Saturday, May 24, officers attended a motel following reports from members of the public and conducted an emergent search.
Police allegedly uncovered approximately 28 grams of methylamphetamine, a large quantity of cash, utensils and other drug related items.
A 30-year-old Roma man has now been charged with possession of property suspected of being the proceeds of an offence under Drugs Misuse Act, possessing dangerous drugs above schedule, possessing anything for use in the commission of crime defined in Part 2, possess utensils or pipes and offence to buy or possess S4 or S8 medicines or hazardous poisons.
The man was due to appear at the Charleville Magistrates Court yesterday, May 26.
