A man has been charged following two separate incidents of a child approach in Heckenberg and Busby this month.
About 8am on Friday 8 August 2025, a 10-year-old girl was walking in the Heckenberg area when she was approached by a 19-year-old man – who was not known to her. The man attempted to speak to the girl before getting out of his car and allegedly gesturing for her to get in the car, before the girl ran away.
In a separate incident, about 3pm on Wednesday 13 August 2025, a 10-year-old girl was walking in the Busby area when she was approached by a man – who was not known to her. The man attempted to speak to her and allegedly exposed himself to her and demanded that she got into the car, before she ran away.
Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into the incident.
Following inquiries, police arrested a 19-year-old man at Liverpool Police Station about 3pm on Thursday 14 August 2025.
He was charged with intentional incite child more than 10 and less that 16 do sexual act, and intentionally do sexual act with child more than 10 and less than 16.
The man was refused bail to appear before Liverpool Local Court today (Friday 15 August 2025).
