Detectives from the Homicide Squad have today charged a man following the fatal stabbing of two men at a Clyde North residential address in January.
A 30-year-old man currently of no fixed place of address was arrested in Doveton this afternoon.
He was interviewed by detectives and has been charged with two counts of murder.
The man has been remanded overnight to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
The charges follow an incident where emergency services were called to reports of an altercation at a property on Observatory Street shortly after 9.30pm on Thursday, 16 January.
Upon police arrival, two men were located with stab wounds to their upper bodies.
Medical treatment was provided to the two Seaford men, a 24-year-old and a 54-year-old, however both died at the scene.
Police will allege the parties involved were known to each other.
