Man Charged in Coffs Harbour Robbery Attempt

A man has been charged over an alleged attempted robbery near Coffs Harbour overnight.

About 12.15am today (Thursday 10 April 2025), an on-duty officer attached to Coffs/Clarence Police District was travelling along the Pacific Highway, Coffs Harbour, when he observed a man allegedly dressed in a face covering entering a service station.

The man then allegedly demanded cash from the service station attendant.

The officer intervened and arrested the 39-year-old man at the scene.

He was taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station, where he was charged with face blackened/disguised with intent commit indictable offence and demand property with menaces with intent to steal.

He was refused bail to appear before Coffs Harbour Local Court today (Thursday 10 April 2025).
