Man charged over act of indecency on train south of Sydney, NSW

A man has been charged following investigations into alleged indecent acts on a train south of Sydney last year, NSW Police say.

About 6.30am on Tuesday 26 December 2017, it’s alleged the man exposed himself and committed an indecent act on a train travelling between Dapto and North Wollongong railway stations.

A number of passengers reported the matter to police and officers from the Police Transport and Public Safety Command commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, police attended a home at Bellambi about 8am today (Friday 9 March 2018), where they arrested a 24-year-old man.

He was taken to Wollongong Police Station and charged with act of indecency and wilful and obscene exposure.

He was bail refused and appeared at Wollongong Local Court today where he was remanded in custody to reappear on 20 March 2018.
