Two men – aged 24 and 25 – approached the man, when he allegedly punched them with a glass bottle in his hand.

Officers from Harbourside Local Area Command were called and arrived at the scene.

The 32-year-old man was arrested and taken to Royal North Shore Hospital under police guard for treatment for minor lacerations.

After being released from hospital, he was charged with nine offences including damage or destroy property (x7), common assault and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The man was granted conditional bail to face the Downing Centre Local Court on Friday 10 June 2016.
