Man charged over armed robbery in Ermington

A man will appear in court today charged over an alleged armed robbery at Ermington last week, NSW Police say.

Just before 7pm on Tuesday 8 August 2017, a 17-year-old male was waiting in his vehicle, parked at Kendall Reserve, on Broadoaks Street, when he was approached by a man armed with a firearm and threatened.

Following a confrontation, the armed man fled with the teen’s wallet, mobile phone and keys.

Police were alerted and officers from Rosehill Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene

Following investigations, officers executed a search warrant at a home in Regents Park, about 7am today.

A 28-year-old man was arrested at the home and taken to Auburn Police Station.

He was charged with robbery while armed with dangerous weapon.

The man was refused bail to appear before Burwood Local Court today.
