Man charged over domestic disturbance at Para Hills, SA

Police have arrested a man after he allegedly crashed a van into a house at Para Hills West last night, according to SA Police.

At 8.20pm a woman reported that a man known to her had just rammed his van into the front of her house in Cyclamen Avenue causing damage. The man then reversed from the building and drove off. Fortunately there were no injuries in the incident, but SES volunteers were called in to stabilise the front of the home.

Around 9pm Police were called to a Mawson Lakes address after the suspect sought assistance from a member of the public.

Elizabeth Police locate the man and his van on Mawson Lakes Boulevard.

He was detained under the mental health act and taken to the Lyell McEwin Hospital but was later released and arrested over the incident.

A 39 –year-old man from Pooraka, has been charged with breaching an intervention order, drive without due care and failing to truly answer questions.

He has been refused bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Monday.
