Man charged over filming women, NSW

Police have charged a man after he was allegedly caught filming a woman at a department store in Bass Hill yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 7pm today, a 53-year-old man was at a store in Bass Hill when he was allegedly seen by a customer to film up the skirt of woman.

The customer notified store security that approached the man and escorted him to an office where police were called.

Officers from Bankstown arrived and, upon viewing CCTV, arrested the man.

A search of the store located the man’s mobile phone which was seized by police and will be examined.

He was taken to Bankstown Police Station where he was charged with filming a person’s private parts without consent.

He was given conditional bail and will appear in Bankstown Local Court on Wednesday 30 November 2016.

Further charges may be laid following the examination of the man’s phone.
