Man charged over home invasion in Dundas

A man has been charged after another man was assaulted during a home invasion at Dundas earlier this month, NSW Police say.

About 12:45am on Sunday 17 September 2017, emergency services were called to a home on Narrun Crescent, following reports of a home invasion.

Police were told two men armed with a knife and a piece of wood forced open the rear door of the home.

The occupant, a 37-year-old man, was threatened before being assaulted.

The men fled in a white Mercedes sedan.

The occupant was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for a minor injury.

Officers from Rosehill Local Area Command attended and commenced investigations into the incident.

Following inquiries, about 9.15pm today, a 32-year-old man was arrested at a home on Watkins Tench Parade, Pemulwuy.

He was taken to Merrylands Police Station and charged with aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence whilst armed.

The man was refused bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court tomorrow.

Inquiries continue into the identity of other people believed to have been at the scene at the time.
