Man charged over 'upskirting' incident, NSW

Police investigating an alleged ‘upskirting’ incident have arrested and charged a man in Sydney’s south-west, NSW Police say.

Officers from the South West Police Transport & Safety Command were called to Wolli Creek Railway Station about 4.30pm on Wednesday 9 May 2018, after reports a man was allegedly behaving in an offensive manner.

During a search of his mobile phone, police will allege in court there were numerous images depicting a girl having her photo taken without consent.

The 64-year-old man was arrested and taken to Kogarah Police Station where he was charged with film person's private parts without consent, and behave in offensive manner in/near public place/school.

He was refused bail and appeared before Sutherland Local Court yesterday (Thursday 10 May 2018) where he was remanded in custody to appear before the same court on Monday 21 May 2018.
