Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man and located a mobility scooter which was allegedly stolen during a burglary last month.
It is alleged a man gained access to an underground carpark on Spencer Street about 3.30pm on Thursday, 20 November.
He allegedly stole a mobility scooter worth more than $11,000.
As part of a number of ongoing enquiries, police attended an address in Westmeadows this morning where a 42-year-old man was arrested.
He was interviewed by detectives and charged with burglary and theft.
The Westmeadows man has been bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court at a later date.
The mobility scooter, which was not damaged, was located in a carpark in East Melbourne and has been reunited with the owner - a 22-year-old man.
Detectives would like to thank media outlets and members of the public who shared the appeal.
