Police have arrested a 56-year-old male following an incident in Coconut Grove on Saturday 1 September.
Around 1:00 pm yesterday afternoon police received a report of a stolen grey Toyota Hilux from an address in Coconut Grove, Northern Territory Police say.
There was a 3-year-old child in the vehicle at the time.
Police immediately saturated the area. The father of the child located the abandoned vehicle within minutes. It was located on Delatour Street approximately 600 metres from where it had been stolen.
The child was located in the vehicle unharmed.
A 56-year-old male was identified by CCTV in the area.
He has been charged with:
- Aggravated unlawful use a motor vehicle
Police have opposed bail.
