Man charged with 26 offences after break-ins in Sydney's north

A man has been charged over multiple alleged break-in and stealing offences after he was arrested at West Pymble overnight, NSW Police say.

Police will allege the man had stolen a large amount of property from breaking into vehicles and homes during the past six weeks in Kuring-Gai and Ryde Local Area Commands.

The Kuring-Gai Proactive Crime Team began investigating the thefts, and yesterday seized more than 80 exhibits, mostly stolen property.

The 19-year-old man has been charged with

• Possess a prohibited drug

• Larceny (five counts)

• Enter building and commit an indictable offence (five counts)

• Dishonestly obtain financial advantage etc by deception (14 counts).

He was refused bail to appear in Hornsby Local Court later today tomorrow.
