Man charged with act of indecency involving three-year-old girl in Homebush

A man will appear in court today after he allegedly committed an act of indecency towards a three-year-old girl at Homebush on the weekend, NSW Police say.

On Sunday 18 December 2016, a 27-year-old security guard was working at a shopping precinct on Underwood Road when he responded to reports of a lost child within the premises.

Police will allege the man located the missing three-year-old girl, before he escorted her to a nearby corridor and exposed himself, before committing an indecent act.

The girl was taken back to her parent, who later alerted police.

Officers from Flemington Local Area Command commenced investigations.

Following inquiries, about 1.40pm today, a 27-year-old man was arrested at a home on Central Park Drive, Bow Bowing.

He was taken to Macquarie Fields Police Station where he was charged with commit act of indecency with person under 16 years and take/detain person with intent to obtain advantage.

The man was refused bail and will appear at Campbelltown Local Court tomorrow.
