A man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was seriously injured at Campsie early today, NSW Police say.
Emergency services were called to a flat on Campsie Street just before 5am today, where they found a woman with serious head injuries.
The woman, believed to aged 34, was taken to St George Hospital where she remains in a critical condition.
Officers from Campsie Local Area Command arrested a 51-year-old man at the scene.
The man, who is the woman’s partner, was taken to Campsie Police Station. He has since been charged with attempted murder.
He was bail refused to appear at Burwood Local Court tomorrow.
