Launceston CIB have charged an 18-year-old Ravenswood man with six counts of stealing following a series of ‘bag snatch’ incidents in and around the Launceston CBD between 13 March and 2 April 2017, Tasmania Police say.
The stealing incidents typically occurred during daylight hours in the City Park, Charles Street, St John Street, the Mall and Princes Square areas.
The charged man will appear at 2:15pm today in the Launceston Magistrates Court.
