Man Charged With Child Abuse Material in Orange

A man has faced court charged with alleged child abuse material offences following an investigation in the state's Central West.

In July 2026, detectives attached to Central West Police District commenced an investigation into the alleged possession of child abuse material by a 33-year-old man in Orange.

Following extensive inquiries, detectives executed a search warrant at a home in Orange about 9am yesterday (Thursday 10 September 2026).

During the search, police allegedly located and seized several electronic items including mobile phones, a laptop and a tablet computer.

A 33-year-old man was arrested and taken to Orange Police Station, where he was charged with four counts of possess child abuse material.

He was refused bail and appeared before Bail Division Court 4 the same day (Thursday 10 September 2026).
