Man charged with drug offences, NSW

A man has been charged with drug offences at Waverley today following an ongoing investigation, NSW Police say.

In July 2016, Strike Force Askos was established by detectives from Eastern Suburbs Local Area Command to investigate the supply of cocaine and MDMA in the Eastern Suburbs and greater Sydney area.

About 11.20am today, 20-year-old man attended Waverley Police Station on unrelated matters and was arrested.

The man was charged with supply prohibited drug (x2), knowingly participate in a criminal group and knowingly deal with proceeds of crime.

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court tomorrow.
