A man has been charged with drug offences following a vehicle stop in the state's west this morning.
About 2.25am (Friday 26 September 2025), officers attached to Orana Mid Western Police District were conducting high-visibility patrols in Mudgee when they stopped a car on Market Street.
The driver – a 29-year-old man – was subjected to a roadside breath test, which returned a negative result.
He was further subjected to a roadside drug test, which returned an alleged positive result for cocaine.
Police searched the vehicle and located and seized 52g of cocaine.
The driver was arrested and taken to Mudgee Police Station, where he was charged with three counts of possess prohibited drug and supply prohibited drug more than indictable and less than commercial quantity.
He was granted conditional bail to appear before Mudgee Local Court on Thursday 15 October 2025.
