Police have charged a man in relation to allegedly manufacturing and supplying firearms, NSW Police say.
About 9.50am yesterday, officers from Campbelltown Local Area Command attended a home on Wyndham Avenue, Leumeah, following the investigation of the manufacture and supply of firearms.
Police will allege that firearms were being manufactured at the home, and that four home-made pistols had been supplied to other people.
Those pistols were recovered by police, and found to be capable of firing .22 calibre and .410 shotgun rounds.
Police arrested a 45-year-old-man at the address and he was taken to Campbelltown Police Station.
Police executed a search warrant and allegedly located and seized tools; including lathes and drills, springs, ammunition, a vehicle, and partially completed home-made guns.
A pipe bomb was also located and destroyed by the Rescue & Bomb Disposal Unit.
The man was charged with nine offences including; supply prohibited firearm (x4), agree to supply two prohibited firearms, ongoing supply of prohibited firearms, manufacturing prohibited firearms, possess ammunition and make explosive for unlawful purpose.
He was refused bail to at Campbelltown Local Court today.
At the home, police also arrested a 22-year-old Ashcroft woman in relation to a motor vehicle crash at Ashcroft on Monday 27 June 2016. During the crash, a car allegedly hit a residential house.
The woman was taken to Campbelltown Police Station and charged with traffic offences and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
She was granted conditional bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court on Friday 8 August 2016.
