Man charged with high range PCA after crash in Penshurst

A man has been charged with allegedly drink-driving after a crash in Penshurst yesterday, NSW Police say.

Just after 7pm today, a 42-year-old man was driving a Ford Mondeo west along Forest Road, Penshurst, when it struck a Toyota Echo from behind.

The driver of the Ford, a 42-year-old man, and his passenger, a 10-year-old girl were not injured as a result of the crash.

The driver of the Toyota, an 18-year-old woman, didn’t require medical treatment.

The 42-year-old man underwent a roadside breath test where he allegedly returned a positive result.

He was arrested and taken to Kogarah Police Station where a breath analysis returned a reading of 0.272.

The man was charged with drive with high range PCA and drive motor vehicle – not carry licence.

His licence was also suspended.

The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court on Tuesday 5 September 2017.
