Police have charged a man with high-range PCA after he was stopped for a random roadside breath test in Newcastle yesterday, NSW Police say.
Just after 5.20pm today, officers from Traffic and Highway Patrol Command Newcastle City stopped a vehicle on Lindsay Street, Hamilton, for a random roadside breath test.
Police will allege the driver returned a positive result and could not produce a driver’s licence when asked.
The man was arrested and taken to Newcastle Police Station where a breath test analysis returned an alleged reading of 0.162.
The 54-year-old man was issued a Future Court Attendance Notice for drive with high-range PCA and drive motor vehicle not carry licence.
He will appear at Newcastle Local Court on Thursday 9 February 2017.
