Man charged with more than 30 fraud offences, NSW

A man is due to appear in court in November following investigations into alleged fraud involving pre-paid funeral plans, NSW Police say.

Police attached to Barrier Local Area Command executed a search warrant at a funeral home in Broken Hill in January 2015, following investigations into alleged ongoing fraud offences.

today, police issued a 61-year-old man with a future court attendance notice for over 30 fraud offences relating to pre-paid funeral plans.

Police will allege the man, who is the director of the business, fraudulently appropriated funds he received as part of a pre-paid funeral agreement.

He will appear in Broken Hill Local Court on Tuesday 15 November 2016.

Police continue their investigations and are appealing for anyone with information to contact police.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
