Man charged with multiple offences, including impersonating a police officer in Minto

A man will appear in court today after allegedly impersonating a police officer in Minto yesterday, NSW Police say.

It will be alleged a man contacted two separate adult services agencies in the Minto area yesterday (Friday 9 March 2018), where the man told the worker and her driver that he was a police officer and stole personal property from them.

A 45-year-old woman has told police that she was also sexually assaulted at another location after meeting a man on Hansens Road at Minto. After the man returned them to Hansens Road, the woman and her driver drove to the nearest house and alerted neighbours who contacted police.

Officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command attended and crime scenes were established and the woman was taken to Liverpool Hospital.

About 11am yesterday (Friday 9 March 2018) police arrested a 23-year-old man at a business address in Minto.

He was taken to Campbelltown Police Station where he was charged with aggravated sex assault deprive liberty, steal from person x 4, impersonate police officer and excise powers x 2, assault with act of indecency x 2.

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today, Saturday 10 March 2018.
