Man Charged With Murder After Winston Hills Kidnapping

A man has been charged with murder following an investigation into an alleged kidnapping in Sydney's northwest.

On Tuesday 9 June 2026, officers attached to Parramatta Police Area Command commenced an investigation after reports a 58-year-old woman had not returned home.

Police were told family last had contact with the woman about 4:50pm on Monday 8 June 2026, when she advised she was meeting a relative in Winston Hills.

About 9:30am on Tuesday 9 June 2026, the woman's vehicle was located on Dodson Street, Winston Hills.

Police were notified and detectives established Strike Force Dizek to investigate the woman's disappearance.

Following inquiries, about 1:40pm today (Thursday 11 June 2026), detectives arrested a 33-year-old man seated in a white Toyota Hilux in bushland along Parnell Fire Trail, Tomerang, about 20km south of Nowra.

A search warrant was later executed at an address in Sanctuary Point.

The man was taken to Nowra Police Station, where he was charged with murder and has been refused bail to appear at Bail Division – Court 3 tomorrow (Friday 12 June 2026).

The body of the woman has not yet been located.

Investigations are ongoing.
