A man will appear in court today over the alleged murder of another man in Lismore yesterday, NSW Police say.
Just before 5pm today, emergency services were called to College Street following reports of an altercation between two men outside a unit block.
NSW Ambulance Paramedics assisted a 55-year-old unconscious man to Lismore Base Hospital; however, he died a short time later.
A 60-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Lismore Police Station.
He was charged with murder and refused bail, to appear at Lismore Bail Court tomorrow.
The two men were known to each other and are believed to have been neighbours.
Investigators are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact Lismore Detectives or Crime Stoppers.
