Man charged with refusing a breath test, NSW

A man has been charged with refusing a breath test after multiple calls from members of the public about his driving, NSW Police say.

About 11.30pm today, police received several calls from members of the public about a Nissan Patrol on the Princes Highway, Nowra.

Police were told the Nissan was driving on the wrong side of the road and had almost collided with several other vehicles.

As a result, officers from Shoalhaven Local Area Command commenced searching for the Nissan.

Officers located the vehicle outside a house in Sussex Inlet.

A 30-year-old man was arrested and taken to Nowra Police Station.

While at the station, the man allegedly refused to undergo a breath analysis.

He was charged with failing to undergo a breath analysis and dangerous driving, his licence was suspended and he will appear before court at a later date.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to these car fires to call Crime Stoppers.
