Man charged with supplying and possessing prohibited drugs, NSW

A man will appear in court next week after he was charged with alleged drug supply and possession offences in Surry Hills yesterday, NSW Police say.

Following ongoing investigations, about 7.45am today, officers attached to Surry Hills Local Area Command executed a search warrant at a unit on Elizabeth Street.

It will be alleged police located methylamphetamine, cannabis, cocaine, gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB), MDMA, drug paraphernalia and cash. All items were seized for forensic examination.

A 59-year-old man was arrested at the premises and taken to Surry Hills Police Station where he was charged with supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity), five counts of possess prohibited drug and deal with proceeds of crime.

He was refused bail and will appear at Central Local Court on Tuesday 18 October 2016.
