Man charged with trafficking 'ice', TAS

A 34-year-old Moonah man has been charged with drug trafficking after a minor crash occurred in North Hobart yesterday and a series of raids by Southern Drug Investigation Services, Tasmania Police say.

Police allege a trafficable quantity of methylamphetamine, commonly known as ‘Ice’ was detected at addresses occupied by the man.

Police allege the drugs are valued at approximately $16,000.

The man was charged with one count of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, Evading Police (Aggravated Circumstances), Assault Police, Resist Arrest and Dealing with proceeds suspected of being proceeds of crime.

The man was remanded in custody to appear on 25 October 2017.
