Man crashes into police vehicle- Coffs Harbour, NSW

An investigation has commenced after a man crashed into a police vehicle at Coffs Harbour earlier this week, NSW Police say.

About 10.20pm (13 September 2016), police attended West High Street following reports of a motorcycle allegedly being ridden at high speeds.

Police noticed a motorcycle with no headlights being ridden towards them. Police will allege the rider braked harshly causing the motorcycle to fishtail and crash into the police car and then into the northern curb of West High Street.

Police stopped and rendered assistance to the rider. He was not wearing a helmet at the time.

The 21-year-old man suffered cuts and abrasions and was taken to Coffs Harbour Health Campus for treatment.
