Police have identified a man who suffered serious injuries after falling from a moving vehicle in the Central Tablelands over the weekend as well as the driver of the vehicle.
About 8.30pm on Sunday (26 October 2025), emergency services responded to reports that a man had been located at the intersection of Stewart Street and Durham Street, Bathurst, with serious head injuries.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the male at the scene before he was airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
Officers from Chifley Police District secured a crime scene and were able to establish that the man fell from the front passenger side of a utility where it failed to stop and continued travelling west along Stewart Street.
The following day (Monday 27 October 2025) the injured man was identified as a 30-year-old. He remains in a critical condition at Westmead Hospital.
On the same day police were able to establish that a 33-year-old man was the driver of the vehicle – a white Mitsubishi Triton – at the time of the incident. He was spoken to by investigators and the vehicle has been seized for forensic examination from a property on Sydney Road, Kelso.
Both men are known to one another.
