Man critically injured after falling from balcony in Putney

A man has been critically injured after falling from a balcony at Putney tonight.

Emergency services were called to a home on McGowan Street, just before 6pm (Saturday 26 January 2019), after reports a man was injured.

The man, believed to be aged in his 20s, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition.

Police have been told he fell from a three-storey balcony onto the pavement below, near a swimming pool.

Officers from Ryde Police Area Command attended and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

It is not being treated as suspicious.
