Man Critically Injured in Bathurst Vehicle Fall

A man has been critically injured after falling from a vehicle in the Central Tablelands.

About 8.30pm yesterday (Sunday 26 October 2025), emergency services responded to report that a man had been located at the intersection of Stewart Street and Durham Street, Bathurst, with serious head injuries.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the male – believed to aged in his late 30's to early 40's – at the scene before he was airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.

Initial inquiries by officers from Chifley Police District have established that the man fell from the front passenger side of a white utility where it failed to stop and continued travelling west along Stewart Street.

Officers have secured a crime scene and are awaiting the arrival of specialist police.

Traffic diversions have been implemented. The area is expected to remain a crime scene for a considerable amount of time and motorists are asked to avoid the area.
