A man has died and another is under police guard at hospital after an incident near Kempsey.
About 9.15pm (Friday 3 August 2019), police were called to an address on Pipers Creek Road, Dondingalong, after reports of a stabbing.
A 54-year-old man was located deceased at the scene. A crime scene was established at the location.
About 9.35pm, emergency services were called to a single vehicle crash a short distance away on Pipers Creek Road.
A man, believed to be aged about 40, was removed from the vehicle and was taken to hospital under police guard for treatment to non-life threatening injuries.
Detectives from Mid North Coast Police District continue with inquiries into the incident.
