Man dies after being found in burning home - Cabramatta West

A man has died after being found in a burning house at West Cabramatta this morning.

Emergency services were called to the home on Utzon Road shortly after 6am (Saturday 12 October 2019), and found the building well alight.

Officers from Fire and Rescue NSW removed the man from the home and performed CPR until paramedics arrived; however, he was unable to be revived.

The man is yet to be identified but it's believed he was the only person in the house at the time.

A crime scene has now been established by officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command and inquiries are underway into the cause of the fire.

Forensic specialists and fire investigators will wait until the scene has been declared safe before they are able to enter the site to begin their examinations.
