Man dies after being found with head injuries in Forbes

A man has died after he was located with head injuries at a home in Forbes, in the state’s Central West, this morning, NSW Police say.

Emergency services were called to Weelong Place, Forbes, about 1.20am (Sunday 19 November 2017) following reports a man had been injured.

The 29-year-old man was taken to Forbes Hospital with significant head injuries but was pronounced dead later in the morning.

Detectives from Lachlan Local Area Command have commenced inquiries under Strike Force Heinrich.

A crime scene was established at the property and officers have been canvassing the area.

Police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to contact Crime Stoppers.
