A man has died after being hit by a garbage truck on the Central Coast, NSW Police say.
About 8am today, a 60-year-old man approached the roadway on Emu Drive, San Remo, when he was hit by a garbage truck. He died at the scene.
A crime scene has been established and Crash Investigation Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The driver of the truck, a 53-year-old man, has been taken to hospital for mandatory drug and alcohol testing.
A brief will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
