A man has died after being hit by a train at Kingsgrove overnight, NSW Police say.
Just after midnight tomorrow, emergency services were called to Kingsgrove Railway Station following reports that a man had been struck while on the tracks.
Emergency services attended and found the man deceased.
Officers from St George Local Area Command established a crime scene which will be examined by forensic specialists.
Investigations into the incident are continuing, however initial inquiries suggest the man may have ran across the tracks after vandalising another stationary train.
The man is yet to be formally identified.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
