Man dies after being stabbed in Dharruk

An investigation is underway after the death of a man in Sydney’s west, NSW Police say.

Police and emergency services were called to a home on Livingston Avenue, Dharruk, about 9.45pm today (Friday 9 March 2018), after reports of a home invasion.

Initial inquiries suggest a group of men entered the home and threatened a 36-year-old man, before stabbing him and fleeing the scene.

The group of men were last seen heading east on Kilbridge Avenue.

The man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital, where he later died.

Officers attached to Mount Druitt Police Area Command with assistance from State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

Inquiries are ongoing, no further information is available at this stage.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
