Man Dies After Crash - Bunyan

A man has died following a crash in the state's south today.

Just before 2pm (Friday 7 November 2025), emergency services were called to the Monaro Highway, Bunyan, approximately 17km north of Cooma, following reports of a crash.

On arrival, officers attached to Monaro Police District found a track and car had collided causing the truck, which was carrying hay, to catch fire.

The driver of the car was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, they died at the scene.

The male driver of the truck was treated at the scene for minor injuries before being taken to Cooma Base Hospital for mandatory testing.

Fire and Rescue NSW officers are on scene, working to extinguish the truck fire.

NSW Rural Fire Service officers are working to extinguish a grassfire.

An investigation into the cause of the crash has commenced.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
