Man dies after falling from moving vehicle at Tilpa

A man has died after falling from a moving vehicle on a property in the state's far west.

About 6pm on Saturday 16 October 2021, emergency services attended a station on Tilpa-Louth Rd, Tilpa, about 350km south west of Broken Hill, following reports of an injured man.

The Royal Flying Doctors Service arrived about 8.45pm and were told a 25-year-old man was travelling in the rear tray of a Toyota Landcruiser when he fell from the vehicle.

The Cobar man suffered head injuries and died at the scene.

Officers attached to Barrier Police District were notified and attended.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are underway.

A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
