Man dies after paragliding crash

A man has died following a paragliding crash at Stanwell Tops.

Just before 3pm (Saturday 27 April 2019), emergency services attended Bald Hill, a popular paragliding location, following reports a glider had crashed into the side of the cliff.

The crash site was located and emergency services began rescue operations.

State Emergency Service personnel reached the site and confirmed that the man involved in the crash was deceased.

The man is not yet to be identified. Due to poor light, the body will be recovered tomorrow (Sunday 28 April 2019)
