Man Dies After Public Place Shooting - Winston Hills

A man has died following a public place shooting in Sydney's west tonight.

About 7pm (Tuesday 19 August 2025), emergency services were called to Regiment Grove, Winston Hills, following reports of a public place shooting.

Officers attached to Parramatta Police Area Command arrived and were told a man had been shot while in a car.

The man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital where he has since died.

The man is yet to be formally identified.

A crime scene has been established and Parramatta detectives – with assistance from State Crime Command's Homicide Squad – have commenced an investigation into the incident.
