Man Dies After Single Truck Crash Near Lithgow

A man has died following a truck crash in the state's central tablelands today.

About 12.10pm (Tuesday 24 March 2026), emergency services were called the Castlereagh Highway near Razorback Road, Ilford, around 60km north-west of Lithgow, following reports of a truck crash.

Officers attached to Orana Mid Western Police District responded and found a Volvo prime mover towing a flatbed trailer had tipped over a guardrail before coming to rest on its side.

The driver – a man believed to be aged in his 30s – died at the scene.

Fire and Rescue NSW, NSW Ambulance and NSW SES were also in attendance.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
